The Glasgow spring clean was held on the 10th of April, 2021 and saw volunteers from all over the city cleaning up their local, and not so local, communities.
The response was huge, and throughout the day a huge amount of rubbish was collected. Over 900 bags were collected on a single day, equating to at least 7 tonnes of rubbish.
This highlights not only the power of working together and how many hands make light work, but also the sheer scale of the litter problem in Glasgow. Tonnes of rubbish is sat in hedges, lanes and land all over Glasgow.
